Terms of sale

1. Public business records only

Everything we sell is compiled from official public sources, such as Texas Comptroller open data, SEC EDGAR, USAspending and public internet registries (DNS, domain registration and certificate logs). Any business record we compile covers the company only (entity name, status, formation date, entity type, registered agent, filing history, public permits and licenses), not an investigation. We do not run background checks on private individuals, and we do not add personal phone numbers, personal emails or other private data.

2. Business information, not a consumer report

Our products describe businesses. They are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Nortap Intelligence is not a consumer reporting agency. You agree not to use anything you buy from us, in whole or in part, to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing or tenancy, or for any other purpose covered by the FCRA. Lead lists are for business-to-business marketing and market research. Follow applicable marketing laws (for example, CAN-SPAM and Do Not Call rules) when you contact businesses.

3. Accuracy

We copy records as published by the original source and link to each one. Public records can be out of date, incomplete or wrong at the source, and agencies update them on their own schedules. We don't guarantee that any record is complete or current, and our deliverables are not legal, financial or investment advice. Check the linked original record before relying on it for an important decision.

4. Delivery

One-time orders are emailed within 1 business day after we receive your order and payment (or approve an invoice). Subscriptions start with a first list within 1 business day, then arrive weekly. If we can't fill an order, for example because no matching records exist, we'll tell you and you won't be charged, or we'll refund you in full.

5. Payments and subscriptions

Prices are shown in US dollars on the pricing page. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. You can cancel a subscription anytime, and it stops at the end of the current paid month.

6. Refunds

Because deliverables are digital and delivered right away, there are no refunds after delivery, except for errors. If a deliverable has a mistake we made (wrong business, missing items we listed, or a record copied wrong), tell us within 14 days and we'll correct it or refund you, your choice.

7. Your use of the data

You may use what you buy inside your own business. Please don't resell or republish our lists or reports as a dataset. We may refuse orders that appear aimed at private individuals or at an FCRA purpose.
